Reading Stations For ANY Fiction Text – Story Element Analysis – Digital & Print

As you wrap up your short-story or novel with your students, consider reviewing the elements of fiction with these story element analysis stations! Your students will analyze how the author develops the characters, conflict, plot, setting, and theme in an engaging and creative way. They’ll appreciate the choice and open-ended questions, and you’ll enjoy using this resource again and again with any text!

There are SIX story element analysis stations:

  • Characters
  • Conflict
  • Plot
  • Setting
  • Theme
  • Point of View

Each station has helpful teaching tips plus TWO sets of questions for students to pick from. Students must use text evidence to support their analysis by pulling a supporting quote from the text.

Using this resource again & again is easy because:

  • The station directions are completely editable;
  • The questions are open-ended and not text-specific;
  • Two different versions of the recording sheet are included.

⭐⭐⭐ PLUS, you’ll receive a digital stations version as well. Differentiating and preparing has never been easier.
