⭐ Plot Structure – Students will dig into the exposition, rising action, and climax of Lamb to the Slaughter.
⭐ Irony – Students will analyze different examples of irony in the story – dramatic, situational, and verbal.
⭐ Characters – Students will evaluate Mary Maloney, Patrick, and the detectives in this breakout – their motivations, traits, transformations, and so on.
⭐ Foreshadowing – Students will evaluate different examples of foreshadowing in the short story.
This Lamb to the Slaughter escape room is designed to challenge students while encouraging them to analyze the text in an interactive way.
It should take an average of ~50 minutes to complete.

When you make your purchase, you will download a ZIP folder. The ZIP folder will contain a PDFwith instructions for facilitating the escape room, directions for using with Breakout EDU lock boxes, Google Forms/Slides, and paper/pencil.
The ZIP folder will also contain PowerPoints, making it easy for you to differentiate or customize the tasks as needed.

This product will work with Breakout EDU Kits. However, they are not required. Some familiarity with Google Forms and Google Slides is required.
If you assign the Google activities and your students receive an “Access Denied” error message, it is because your district has blocked students from opening Google files owned by someone outside your district.
You can solve this by making a “teacher copy” of the activities and then embedding your document links within the Google form.
