Then, they’ll rotate through five sensory stations (supplies not included) to practice paying attention to and using their five senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.

Afterward, students will apply what they know about analyzing imagery in poetry using one of these three poems:

  • The Eagle – Lord Tennyson
  • This is Just to Say – William Carlos Williams
  • Summer – Walter Dean Myers
