If you teach in the middle school setting, you know just how difficult it gets trying to combat disengaged and distracted students in those days before Christmas break. With these serious, silly, and occasionally crazy December Would You Rather Questions, you can rest assured that students will perk right up and be ready to participate!

There are two versions included!

⭐️ Version 1: Vote With Your Feet

Give your students a brain break and get them up and moving by having them answer these December Would You Rather Questions with their feet! This makes a fantastic and quick energizer that you can plug in without any prep!

  • Use the included Google Slides presentation to display the Would You Rather prompt on your whiteboard.
  • Have students vote with their feet and move to the right/left side of the room to answer.

This method ensures every student gets to answer, PLUS it helps to wake them up so they can finish class strong!

⭐️ Version 2: Printable Cards

Use the printable Christmas Would You Rather cards to “break the ice” when your students have to work with an assigned partner or group. Or, use them as attendance questions, as bell-ringer writing prompts, a “day before break” station rotation, & much more!

This version of the icebreaker removes the movement component but allows for much more flexibility to fit your needs.
