► The Level Three Morphology Curriculum Scope & Sequence
The morphemes in Level Three were carefully selected and intentionally sequenced based on word frequency in upper elementary texts, cognitive load, balanced exposure to prefixes, roots, and suffixes, and a natural progression across the school year. It builds on the morphemes covered in my Level One and Level Two curricula.

► Who is Level Three For?
Level Three was designed for students who have experience with morphology or word part study, either through my Level 1 or 2 curriculum or other word study exposure.
This Level Three 6th Grade Morphology curriculum is a great fit for any upper elementary or middle school student who is ready for more complex morphemes and multi-syllabic word analysis. The routines provide consistency and scaffolding, and the content introduces more abstract roots and layered affixes to deepen vocabulary understanding.
